I decided to put CG model section in my portfolio blog because I found cool service online
called "p3d". It allow us to display our own 3DCG model with awesome interface such as
zooming in, turning it around, showing wire frame, etc !
These two CG model are from this year's film "Marooned Maroo"
I did Modeling and rigging for this character.

Marooned Maroo
Marooned Maroo from Takehiro Nishikawa on Vimeo.
Maroo, a lone boy marooned on an island, passes the time playing with his best friend, Earth. Disturbed by their ruckus, Sun stirs in her sleep and rolls over in bed, unfortunately on top of Earth. Maroo must save his friend!

Almost finished character set up !
Recently I was working for rigging for film characters
This is some pose test for Maroo
I basically used auto rig builder script called "advanced scheleton"
Based on the rig I tweaked a little bit to make it easier to animate.
In addition, I made the hair moveable too.
I can't wait to animate him !

Film Progression ( Thumbnails for Animation Test )
These are thumbnails I drew for an animation test.
This sequence is about Maroo fishing. I relearned how to describe a character who is pulling a heavy object. At first he starts to pull with his hip, next is his upper body, and finally he ends up using his arms and shoulders. I thought facial expressions are also helpful to express how he is suffering to pull his fishing rod.

Film Progression (Color Design)
Some design works for my this year's film. My collaborator gave great suggestion for this film's title.
And I decided to change the title from "The Big Thumb" to "Marooned Maroo"
because this story is going to be about the boy called "Maroo"
This boy with mushroom shape hair is the main character called "Maroo"
As you can guess the boy's name is coming from "mushroom".
These are color design I did for him.
Maroo's best friend Earth
This baby looking sun is going to be antagonist in this film.
This is rough concept art for my film. The story is gonna take place at this isolated pointy island.

Film Progression (Character Design)
These are the Design for my film's protagonist called "Maroo"
He is a boy adopted by the Earth. I wanted him to look like something relating to nature, so I designed his hair after a mushroom.

Recent Life Drawings
These drawings are from 2D character animation class's assignments. I tried to draw with broken pen and small sketch book. It was fun to draw with broken pen because it gives me chance to explore other way to express gestures, and refuse me from already existing skill sets.
